Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about booking, mobile grooming, pricing, and our policies. Still have questions? Contact us.

Booking & Scheduling

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online, call, or text to schedule at a time that works for you.

How far in advance should I book?

Most clients book 1–4 weeks in advance. Availability varies by season.

Do you offer recurring appointments?

Yes. We can automatically schedule your pet's grooming every 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks.

Mobile Service

How does mobile grooming work?

We bring a fully equipped grooming salon directly to your home, so your pet receives one-on-one care without leaving the driveway.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

No. Our grooming van is fully self-contained.

Do I need to be home during the appointment?

We only need access to your pet. Many clients continue working from home while we groom.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve La Jolla, Clairemont, and Pacific Beach. There are exceptions, so please call us to confirm whether we can service your area.

Pricing

How much does grooming cost?

Pricing depends on breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and services requested. The household minimum is $200.

Is mobile grooming more expensive than a salon?

Mobile grooming offers personalized one-on-one care, convenience, reduced stress, and no kennel time, which is reflected in our pricing.

Why is mobile grooming more expensive?

Our experienced groomers bring a luxury salon experience to your home. Mobile service includes specialized equipment, travel time, and dedicated one-on-one attention—factors reflected in our rates. There are no extra charges for specialty shampoos. We believe your pet deserves a shampoo matched to their needs—whether that means detangling, skin support, unscented formulas, or something else—and that choice is included in your service.

Do you have a minimum service charge?

Yes. We have a household minimum of $200 per visit. If your dog's base service (for example, a bath priced around $150) does not meet that minimum on its own, you may select add-ons to reach it—and you are welcome to add more if you would like. Examples include teeth brushing ($20), paw and nose balm ($10), foot treatment ($20), mud treatments ($30–$80), and sugar scrubs ($20–$40).

Is dematting extra?

Yes. Dematting is billed separately based on the severity and amount of matting in your dog's coat. We will discuss any dematting fees with you before your appointment so there are no surprises.

What is a sugar scrub?

A sugar scrub uses a coarse-grained sugar mixed into the shampoo to gently exfoliate dead skin and help lift excess loose coat. Many pets leave with a softer feel and a fresher, healthier-looking coat after this treatment.

Grooming Process

How long does a grooming appointment take?

Most appointments take 1–3 hours, depending on your pet's size, coat condition, and selected services.

Will my dog be kenneled?

No. Your pet receives individualized attention and is groomed from start to finish.

Can I stay with my pet during grooming?

For safety and to help pets remain calm, owners typically do not stay inside the grooming van during the appointment.

Pet Requirements

Do vaccinations need to be current?

Yes. We require current rabies vaccinations as required by California law.

Can you groom senior dogs?

Absolutely. We specialize in gentle grooming tailored to senior pets and their individual needs.

Can you groom aggressive or anxious dogs?

We evaluate each pet individually and prioritize safety for both pets and groomers.

What if my dog has fleas?

Please notify us before your appointment so we can discuss treatment options and sanitation requirements. Pets with fleas will receive a flea bath to protect other clients and our grooming team.

Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

We allow a grace period for the first cancellation. Future cancellations or no-shows will incur a $100 fee.

What happens if I am late?

Please have your pet ready at the scheduled appointment time to avoid delays. We allow a 20-minute grace period.

Do you accept tips?

Tips are always appreciated but never expected.
